Collin Mann leads a search for his brother, Ethan. But events force him to make hard decisions, and the search party splits as they desperately seek their brave captain. Some are lost, and new alliances are formed. Deepest fears are confronted, and fascinating wonders are discovered.

After parting with Collin, Bliss leads her team to the far north into a frozen kingdom. In her efforts to find Ethan, she uncovers far more than she anticipated. Questions about her past are answered. Surprising revelations are made. But after all she learns, can she make it out of the kingdom alive?

Ty goes alone into the scorching deserts south of Anistemia. Handless--his gift from the evil Saetos--he finds even the simplest tasks to be quite difficult.
