Miranda Beverly-Whittemore was born in Los Angeles, California in 1976. She grew up in Senegal, Vermont, and Oregon. In 1998, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College. Her novels, include:The Effects of Light and Set Me Free. Her latest novel, Bittersweet, made the New York Times bestseller list in 2014. She now writes full time from her home in Brooklyn, New York.
