This primer was intended be an introduction to Keynes' book, "The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money". In the process of repeatedly modifying it over the years it has become much more than that. As my understanding of his work has grown, I have realized both the power in what he discovered, and that there was more work to be done to fully understand the model. Consequently, this book became in part a task to try to explain Keynes' model and in part a chance to correct and expand on that knowledge. integrating his ideas with more modern economic concepts was essential to that task.
