Killing Auntie

Andrzej Bursa was born in Krakow, Poland on March 21, 1932. He studied journalism and Bulgarian at Jagiellonian University. From 1954 to 1957, he worked as a journalist and reporter for the newspaper Dziennik Polski. His first poem was published in 1954. He published 37 poems and a short story in different magazines during his lifetime. He died of congenital heart disease on November 15, 1957 at the age of 25. His first poetry collection was published shortly after his death. His book, Killing Auntie was first published in 1969.
