More DescriptionA little less than a year after their thwarted attempt at wiping out humanity, the villainous Evostar personnel who'd escaped Earth to hide out in suspended animation in their deep space facility shock the world by returning and surrendering to authorities. At the same time, astronauts discover a massive 10,000 carat raw diamond floating in the void and that's also brought down...to be exhibited in the new American Interstellar Museum in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. Though seemingly quite different and unrelated events, both are the work of a singular entity--an intangible energy matrix intellect called a teravorn, which has taken up a sheltering residence inside the Cygnus Star diamond...and has a diabolical use for the imprisoned Evostar people as well. Soon the alien entity, bent on taking over and possessing the entire world, is constructing a horrifying giant monster with eight beam-blasting "eyes" and six tentacled arms capable of draining nothing less than the very life energy from living things. And that's hardly its entire invasion force, as it has also been amassing an army of humans under its complete mental control consisting of all those who have viewed the gem in close quarters.
Stepping up the horror considerably from previous installments in the Krakenstein saga, this fifth tale, and the second in the "The Next Regeneration" trilogy, sees the return of first trilogy heroes Jeremiah Savage, Key Sharlayne and even Key's brilliant scientist half-sister, Dr. Deanna Sharlayne, who has just been evicted from the ancient facility that is Emerald Island by its hardly cordial creators.
But the star of the show, Krakenstein, has been missing for months--ever since diving down into a "sub-ocean" made of crude oil and organic matter in the Gulf of Mexico...at a spot where the very waters of the oceans themselves seem to be mysteriously draining away!
With the world's often reluctant giant defender out of the picture and Deanna no longer able to utilize the advanced facilities that had once allowed her to even re-imagine herself as a gigantic and kinda sexy winged titan cohort for Krakenstein, only the daring crew of the Moray 2 sub appear to be standing between their world and utter disaster. Are they up to it? Hard to tell with all that crazy soap opera stuff going on between Captain Shea Sanders, First Mate Donovan Shepard, shipboard daredevil Shag Lander, Shea's daughter Jona and signed-on TV adventure celeb Rhone Ferris.
More scary giant monster thrills and human relationship silliness is here right now...if you think you can survive it.
