"Lang Toi Tai Cua Than Phu" is a collection of chronicles about the estuary of Than Phu, an arduous river-mouth acting as a cornerstone for Vietnamese history. Throughout several centuries, the violent estuary of Than Phu physically transforms into Chinh Dai, a lush, fertile river-mouth that would eventually prompt Vietnamese patriarch Tran Van Ky to create nearby farming villages during the nineteenth century. "Lang Toi Tai Cua Than Phu" divides itself with legends, poetry, and historical accounts, especially the author's own perspective in the twentieth century.
