This book is composed of five chapters and begins with the major accomplishment both for Dutch legal psychiatry and for the English language audience, followed by a survey of the civil dimensions of the forensic system. The next chapter tackles the primary variables in assessing terrorism, including the social, political, religious, and economic factors, which, coupled with highly complex variables of psychological predisposition, can give some guarded inroads with respect to the limits of the knowledge in predicting and reacting to terrorist incidents.
