The story of my evolution from a radical leftist in the 1960s to a political conservative today, tracing my involvement in the Civil RIghts and anti-Vietnam war movements, an SDS activist, through the 1970s and 1980s when I got I Ph.D., began teaching at several institutions, and then in 1985 started Empire Information Services, a business whose successor is still active. The book includes in an appendix ten essays and book reviews that I have published in recent years on contemporary topics.
