This is a book about Leo Strauss, and the political philosophy of his Xenophon; In it, I argue that Dr. Strauss, as many have suggested, was a Nietzschean thinker, and, indeed, one of the twentieth-century's best scholars of Nietzsche; I further argue that Strauss' politics, if he had a particular politics, was a species of political Nietzscheanism and Heideggerianism which can best be seen through the lens of his, Strauss', relationship to Xenophon.
