Author Biography
Talley, André Leon (Author)
Maureen Dowd was born in Washington, D. C. in 1952. She has a B.A. in English from The Catholic University of America. In her career she has worked for the Washington Star, Time, and the New York Times. Her awards include a Breakthrough Award from Columbia University (1991), a Matrix Award from the New York Women in Communication, and in 1999, she was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for her series of columns on the Monica Lewinsky scandal. She is the author of several books, Bushworld: Enter at Your Own Risk (2004), Are Men Necessary? When Sexes Collide (2005), and The Year of Voting Dangerously: The Derangement of American Politics (2016).
