More DescriptionGrowing up in the awesome 80's, Beth had a bowl haircut that her mother called "the dutch boy," and carried around an oversized walkman. She was the ultimate underdog who had dodged a near death experience on a plastic red sled and fought off a school bully with a metal lunch box. Unfortunately, life was not always awesome for Beth. She suffered severe burns in a camping accident, became pregnant at the age of fourteen, escaped domestic violence and struggled as a single mother with two wild boys. Despite the hardship and a diagnosis of cancer, her story was not all doom and gloom. Beth found love in a man who loved punk rock and bagpipes, became a nurse and found employment in a prison where the staff were more unruly than the inmates. For Beth, life was filled with good and bad stories and humor was found in the moments that surrounded it all. Looking back it was funny.
