LORETTA LYNN LIVES ON
Loretta Lynn, the Kentucky coal digger's little girl whose forthcoming tunes about existence and love as a lady in Appalachia hauled her out of neediness and made her a mainstay of bluegrass music, has passed on. She was 90.
In an explanation given to The Related Press, Lynn's family said she passed on Tuesday at her home in Storm Plants, Tennessee.
"Our valuable mother, Loretta Lynn, died calmly earlier today, October fourth, in her rest at home in her cherished farm in Storm Plants," the family said in an explanation. They requested security as they lamented and said a remembrance will be reported later.
Her greatest hits came during the 1960s and '70s, including "Coal Digger's Little girl," "You Ain't Lady Enough," "The Pill," "Don't Get back home a Drinkin' (With Lovin' at the forefront of Your Thoughts)," "Evaluated X" and "You're Taking a gander at Country." She was known for showing up in floor-length, wide outfits with intricate weaving or rhinestones, many made by her long-lasting individual collaborator and creator Tim Cobb.
