A strong, rugged, scout for the US Army falls in love with a captivating Cherokee Indian princess. They meet under inauspicious circumstances but their chemistry is immediate. She is betrothed to a cruel and brutish man, who the hero fights and conquers. The scout and princess fall into a deep, abiding, passionate love. They marry and have a family. They share many travels and adventures, overcoming hardships and tragedy, through their shared faith in God and passionate and enduring love for each other. Her tribe is threatened by enforcement of the 1835 Indian Removal Act. They work together to save her village from the forced relocation of the tribe by the U. S. Army, which would have resulted in a substantial loss of life. They plan to bring the tribe to safety and take the people to the Quapaw Indians in Arkansas. The journey is still difficult but the vast majority of lives are saved.
