Author Biography
Bennett, Patty Perreault (Artist)
A native of Delaware, Kevin Fleming began his career as a newspaper photographer after attending Wesley College. He spent a decade covering the world as a photographer for National Geographic. His photographs cover a wide range from war and famine in Somalia to New Zealand sheep ranchers.

While reporting on the Sinai Peninsula he came under gunfire from the assassin that killed Egyptian President Anwar Sadat. He provided some of the few images that exist of that event.

In recent years Kevin has concentrated on creating books of his photography. A few of his publications include Delaware (2001), The Heart of America (2004), and Wild Delaware (2008). His photography has won many national and international awards.

Kevin is currently working on Wild Delmarva with his son Jay scheduled for publication in the winter of 2010.
