The precursor to his ambitious plans is an ultra-secret contingency that has been in the works for decades. Dr. Han Jin Li has served her nation as a specialist in brain surgery. She had convinced herself that the procedures and technologies she had helped to develop were meant to give China's unwanted, 'throw-away girls,' a second chance; but as her government proceeds with its diabolical plans, she is forced to confront her own complicity. Her subjects - she is not permitted to refer to the baby girls as 'patients' - have been made into assassins and saboteurs to further the ambitions of China's Communist Party.
