Good quality paper is used but to prevent bleed through I would advise using pencil crayons, pastels and crayons.
It has a glossy front cover with pictures from inside the book on the cover. On the back cover it states 'I love you' in bunting so she knows it's a gift from your heart !

I have put it is for the ages 6-12 but realistically it could be bought for any age as younger children will colour within their capabilities as will older ones. It doesn't matter if they don't colour within the lines, it's the enjoyment of colouring and the time out from a busy life that makes colouring so much fun for all age groups.
