More DescriptionThe Holy Spirit has continued to bless me during prayer, adoration and meditation with inspirations and images for the next volume of poems that has come together in the last 10 months. Almost never do I sit down specifically to write a poem, except the ones for the family, which are not difficult since I have a very entertaining and colorful family whom I love so very much and seem to appreciate the poems I write for them. Since I now have 7 grandchildren, with 5 of them ages 5 and under who also live nearby, time is at a premium. So I sometimes will start a poem after prayer, then will have to finish it later. But thankfully, the Holy Spirit is quite understanding and I don't have to return to a deep state of prayer to be able to finish the poem. I can sit at the computer to type in what I have written and He must sit on my shoulder prompting the rest, as it fairly flows out without much rewrite. The title "Mirror of Faith" has been an image that I have held onto since we did our Bible Study on James in 2013 and it resurfaces quite often as I contemplate where I am, how do I perceive my progress in Faith, Love and Charity and what does God actually see in me. Is my image accurate or quite distorted - only the Spirit knows that answer and I think the image wavers like a handheld mirror in a shaky hand, as I am sure my journey is in the right direction but has taken turns and missteps- hopefully fewer and fewer along the way. That is why it's important to me to look into the mirror and ask God what does He see and am I actually on the right path.
