More DescriptionFlorence tells us her own story as the story of Mona, an English Teacher, who is also an Artist and paints pictures. She has just bought a new apartment in the university town of Cergy, in the Paris Region. She is thoroughly enjoying her life, in this new environment, decorating her flat on the 7th floor...with the magnificent view on the park, on the woods, on the river, and the lake further on the horizon...when a group of uninvited voices invade her mental space... her time...and her entire life! The hissing and whispering voices hang on in Mona's life environment permanently, and continue intriguing her, interfering with every happening from morning till night. Thinking that she may be imagining things, she seeks the help of a renowned Scandinavian Psychologist, Dr. Rosa Mystica...Here's what she writes in Chapter V, bearing the title, "A Short Lived Happiness": "During my Wednesday sessions with Dr. Rosa Mystica, I told her how the voices had invaded my life.""Our first meeting was most shocking...no it was more than shocking, it was a traumatizing experience! I compare them to the Big Bang!" "The Big Bang, you said?""Yes, the initial shock was totally unexpected! It broke my heart into a thousand pieces right there, on the spot. Then I picked up the pieces...and I have been trying to put them back together, ever since..."..."It was a Monday, no it was before Monday?" "Mmmm, I see, not very rejoicing, ha? So you came across these intruders in 2011?""Yes, when was it...I spent a weekend in a sunny country in a neighboring continent...On my return came along the Red, Blue and Yellow voices, maybe there was also a Green one at that time.""Did you first hear them talk to you in Cergy?""No, no, they started to make themselves heard when I was in the plane...that was the first time it ever happened to me! I thought when you were in a plane you were totally cut off from the world down below, and you sort of floated in a no man's land...or rather a no man's sky...I thought you could just daydream, feel weightless, on those cotton candy clouds until the plane landed...I was mistaken! They tried to make themselves the centre of my attention. They acted like a strange bunch of genies out of their bottles, with very invading manners from the beginning, trying to push me out of my head and settle there in my place. Yes, basically that was it, "Why don't you move out and let us stay," they would be saying, "and that means in any place that you may be". "Let us decide in your place, think in your place", although they have absolutely no faculty of thinking by themselves whatsoever...They "whispered" as Elton John says...and "whispered on"...! also mumbled things, that I could not make any head or tale of!!!"... "Ever since that trip", says Mona, "The Red Voice, the Blue Voice and the Yellow Voice, haunt my home like ghosts. They press my brain, press my heart, give my legs cramps and dry up my eyes, leaving me no tears to cry! Indeed they deserve no tears..."The uninvited "genies" seem to be betting for Eternity...!Will Mona and her Scandinavian doctor, Rosa Mystica, be able to "get them back in their bottles" and accept to leave? Nothing seems more improbable...
