More DescriptionThe raccoons, Ahote and Mika hold knowledge and powers that help humanity to advance to higher levels of existence. Trappers harvesting pelts place the entire human race at risk when they kill Ahote and his family. Will others be found to take the place of Ahote and Mika or will great devastation visit mankind, possibly eliminating them from the planet? Many don't understand the true nature and hierarchy of our world; the creators left humans incomplete. All the other life forms were completed and exist in harmony with the natural cycles and rhythms of this world and the universe. It's the desire of the creators to allow humans to complete themselves, reaching the level of the creators. Often overlooked, animals are one of the allies available to humanity as they strive to complete themselves.Moon Shadows is a historical, fictional story set in the northern North American continent between the 1500's - late 1800's. The narrative is through the view of the animals that interact with humans. The elements of the Moon Shadows are derived from multiple cultures, events, and belief systems. Certain elements are derived from my personal experiences with domesticated and wild animal life.
