Sheriff Cat Wolfe is a very handsome nice guy who was once an all-conference defensive back at Clemson University. Following graduation, he takes over his fathers farm, marries his high school sweetheart and they soon have two little boys. Cat truly feels that hes on top of the world. But then out of nowhere, Cats wife and two little boys were killed instantly by a drunk driver. Cat is totally devastated and extremely lonely. So, in an effort to keep himself occupied, he gets elected sheriff, rents out his farm, and tries to begin life anew. Then in walks the woman who will quickly become the new love of Cats life, the absolutely gorgeous Cindy French, who just arrived in town to become editor of their small daily newspaper. Almost immediately she and Cat fall desperately in love.
