With MUSEUM OF MO' DERN' ART, Price collects the major paintings of the series: Restorations and adaptations of the covers of many of those notorious comic books. The gallery catalog also reproduces many examples from Price's THE HUMAN CONDITION, a suite of evocative watercolors and oils; and a generous selection of his editorial-opinion cartoons from the early years of the new century. The combination serves as a document of recent years' works while amplifying the scope of the COMICS FROM THE GONE WORLD books, all with Credit Where Due to some obscure chump-change artists of the midcentury.
