At 80 years old, and not far from death, Roberta begins a reflection process, which takes her mind back to being a 5-year-old black girl, growing up in the 1960's. As her reflections progress, the puzzle pieces are put in place to form the picture of why she is so secretive, and how she accomplished all that she had in her life, by the time she was advanced in age.
