Neurorobotics. Neuromorphic mechanisms of control presents the multidisciplinary field of neurorobotics from a didactic approach, presenting the fundamental challenges in robotics and how neuronal architectures approach them. It covers the latest state-of-the-art in neurorobotics and aims to address the intersection of neuromorphic engineering and robotics, focusing on biological mechanisms of motor control, neuromorphic proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller, robust and adaptive neuro-control, collision avoidance, trajectory generation, and optimization and gait balancing. Allowing graduate students, researchers, and engineers with diverse backgrounds to understand and appreciate the multidisciplinary field of neurorobotics.
