More DescriptionSEVEN SCREENS is a unique lighting technology platform for alternating art projects in Munich. Behind this is a one-of-a-kind artistic concept within the scope of an ambitious format for art in public space. Up to thirty thousand people pass by the art project every day, which has made it one of the attention-grabbing landmarks in the Bavarian capital. New projects that specifically respond to the spatial situation have been presented every six months since 2006. In the past five years, nine internationally renowned artists have produced works for the seven LED steles, located at the headquarters of the lighting manufacturer OSRAM. The artists' projects playfully and yet profoundly exhaust the possibilities offered by the formal and site-specific field of tension through narrative, abstract, and interactive approaches.
The Artists presented:
Art+Com, Anouk De Clercq, Harun Farocki, Haubitz + Zoche, Herlinde Koelbl, Mader/Stublic/Wiermann, Bjørn Melhus, Saskia Olde Wolbers, Rúrí, Diana Thater
