More DescriptionOnce upon a time, Santa had no elves. Santa and his Missus made all the toys themselves. With Christmas just around the corner, every year the pressure loads up heavier on Santa and his Missus to get everything done on time. Despite getting exhausted, they must keep up their pace because all the world's children cannot be disappointed. Late one night, Santa just has to take a break. After a short nap, he goes outside to take a walk even though it's snowing heavily. Suddenly, Santa hears a plaintive sound coming from within a snow bank. Rushing over, Santa frantically digs into the snow-to discover a tiny man with a tiny crown of gold who is almost frozen to death. Santa rushes home carrying the tiny man. Once inside, Santa and his Missus do everything they can to revive their rescued stranger, including providing tea and cookies and warm blankets. Thankfully, tiny man soon revives and rises to announce that he is Sig, the Elfen King. Out of gratitude, Sig immediately states he wants to pay back Santa for helping to save his life. Santa modestly says he was lucky to be there, and glad to do it, but he must get right back to his work because he fears he is running way behind. He cannot disappoint the all the world's children if their toys are not finished on time. Sig smiles, pulls out a tiny golden horn and starts tooting away until dawn. Santa and his Missus are charmed but do not understand what this means. In sheer exhaustion, they eventually fall asleep. When morning comes, they are awakened by loud knocking at their door. Upon opening the door, they are shocked by what they see-a small army of tiny elves are lined up outside, all equipped with their tools and good cheer, ready to get to work and help Santa and his Missus meet the Christmas deadline. Now you know the secret backstory of how Santa now has elves-who have kept their promise to return to help out, each and every year, forever more.
