Author Lenore Blegvad wrote 12 children's books including Anna Banana and Me (1985), Once Upon a Time and Grandma (1993), A Sound of Leaves (1996), and Kitty and Mr. Kipling: Neighbors in Vermont (2005). She died on September 5, 2008 at the age of 82.
