More DescriptionA brief illustrated travel through one photographer's lens during his recurrent trip along the scenic southern border of Connecticut. Two fairly different regional rail roads are briefly examined in the author's book. This annotated photographic tour begins with the Shore Line East, a wonderful, almost enigmatic, classic railroad in New London (CT, USA) that wends its way along the water to New Haven. The reader then is transferred to the up to date Metro-North, a New York City feeder line as it carries the authors to his destination in Westport, CT. There are more than forty images, most of which were taken from the point of view of the rider working with a classic analogue. This is a very unusual and informative travel-log.There is a map so the rider can see where he is, or was, and a section at the rear which clarifies the film photography process as well as the equipment that is used for those to whom classic film is not so familiar.
