For the majority of cases, verbatim extracts from the judgment are given.
The casebook presents the leading cases on the topic, together with many lesser-known but important decisions. A number of useful decisions from the Commonwealth are included. Throughout, the authors' approach is practical rather than academic.
There have been many new cases in construction law since the last edition was published in 1990, and the Third Edition takes account of the most important of these. It also includes a new chapter on damages for defective building work, a topic which has generated a number of extremely important new cases. The section on key tort cases has also been extended.
