More DescriptionThe Triumph and Tragedy of War
Earth has been devastated by an aerial attack by space pirates, the Maatiirani, but before the population is completely wiped out, the pirates mysteriously vanish. Humanity not only has to survive the destruction of its major infrastructures, but must prepare to defend itself if, and when they return. One couple, Marrett and Bouche Perpatton, have a chance at uniting Earth’s populations, preventing a pending mass starvation, and stop the Antrakans from turning Earth back into a prison planet after the war is over.
As the war drags on, the Maatiirani’s superior fighting machines give them control of most of the known occupied region of the galaxy. However, they are frustrated in their desire for a quick ending because they can’t locate the Antrakan Supreme Commander Khephra and his remaining fleet.
The Maatiirani’s military leader, Fleet Commander Bahnan knows he must defeat the Antrakans soon or an escape prisoner will reveal weaknesses in his “perfect” weapon to his enemy. He must risk his career, new-found love, and unborn sons to bring this war to a climax and defeat his clever and evasive enemy. For the Maatiirani fleet commander, there is only one outcome if he fails: death.
