Early in 2013, I set out to give 365 pieces of original art to anyone, anywhere in the world for free. But this project evolved into so much more than making art more accessible. More DescriptionEarly in 2013, I set out to give 365 pieces of original art to anyone, anywhere in the world for free. But this project evolved into so much more than making art more accessible. I realized halfway through that I was doing a project about happiness. It made me under- stand even more how much joy and pleasure art brings to people's lives. For me, having a piece of original art was always about the inspiration and connection to the artist. However, the stories I've read from all of you have given the art so much more meaning for me and also made me better understand what I was doing. Regardless of from where in the world you followed the project, the true universal language we all share is one through art. That realization is truly the thing that helped motivate me to sacrifice countless nights and weekends to get through this project. I've grown and learned so much this year. My art has matured and I've met some great people and developed new friends on and off of Facebook. I loved discovering more about each person that received the daily work-- where they're from and what the piece meant to them. The project has always been about giving back. That's why I'm excited about supporting the Children's Creativity Museum in San Francisco by donating the proceeds from this book to them, to help contribute in some way to the next generation.
