Captain Howard Adams was about to be on the receiving end of an event that has taken a hundred millions years to reach this point of action and confrontation. He would meet for the first time Quantum 14. Not because he wanted to but because fate had placed him in the wrong place at the right time. What would follow would be so nuts that no rational human being could even believe there was a Captain Adams let alone this thing from the past, from a space race that had placed it here on this planet Earth for one reason, to prepare for colonization. It's a story of loyalty, deceit, power and sacrifice. This Quantum 14 unit was a robot sent to Earth before mankind was even a thought. The robot was programed to attach itself to the first being it came in contact with and that turned out to be Howard. They were connected whether they wanted to be or not. It would turn out to be a blessing and a burden. All this happened at the exact time a rebellion was to be launched against the government of the Untied States by its own military and Howard found himself standing right in the middle of it. As he fought against the forces that were rebelling there were other events that were taking place, namely an invasion by an alien power. In the end Howard would come up with a solution but one that none would expect. This is a mystery, a war, and a game of power.
