More Description
Joyce Robbins, beautiful and well educated, is the curator of a museum dedicated to the treasure trove of buried Indian relics so common in northwestern Ohio. When she discovered the start-up museum she'd been on the road for five years, running from the pain of loss, traveling in an endless coast-to-coast loop; using emotionless sex as a distraction from the memories.
It was simply a breakfast stop along the way, a place where she could eat while perusing through the local newspaper. That's when she discovered the front page article about the museum waiting to be. They had a huge Tudor mansion ready for conversion and a warehouse full of Indian artifacts. They were searching for a curator as well as a variety of other positions.
She was an archaeologist with no field experience, only her education at Syracuse. Her repressed memories were there, but over the years she had become a master at ignoring the grave where they were buried. When she applied for the position of museum curator, it was just curiosity. She wanted to see the inside of the mansion. Much to her surprise an offer had come her way and the more she thought about it the more she realized how tired of the road she was. She accepted the position and spent the next ten years developing the stone estate into the museum it was destined to be.
Something has stirred the repressed memories of her two best friends. In the midst of her struggle to keep them away she's tasked with a site evaluation where bones had been discovered. The bones were so degraded that they held little interest, but before they could abandon the potential dig an oversized spear tip was discovered. It was during the search for more weapons that they unearthed a mysterious artifact.
A beautiful archaeologist. An ancient artifact. A horrible secret
