Harder, Dan (Author)
Dan Harder teaches literature at the International High School in San Francisco and writes essays for the San Francisco periodical Points of View. Also a playwright, essayist, and award-winning poet, Harder published his first children's book, Colliding with Chris, in March 1998. Illustrated by Kevin O'Malley, Colliding with Chris recounts the adventures of a young boy when he takes his first ride on a bicycle with hand brakes. The 32-page picture book is full of humor, beautiful full-page illustrations, and cockeyed snapshots.
