More DescriptionRegeneración: Three Generations of Revolutionary Ideology is a research-driven, multi-artist exhibition and publication project examining the transnational exchange and circulation of revolutionary and anarchist ideas across generations and between the U.S. and Mexico. "Regeneración," or regeneration, is the shared name for a pre-revolution Mexican political newspaper, an artists' magazine of the Chicano Art Movement, and a former artist-run experimental space in Los Angeles, all of which have contributed to the convergence of art, community, and politics, vested in global politics, which have become central to the ethos of multiple cohorts of artists working in Southern California. The project centers on three instances of cultural production, each called "Regeneración," and the interconnected ideas and relationships between them. The exhibition was on view September 29, 2018 to February 16, 2019 at the Vincent Price Art Museum.
