More Description Restoration of Honour is a collection of poems in English, by Anthony Noriega-Carranza, which reflects the author's trajectory of over four decades in writing poetry in verse with and without metrics, in free verse, and openly in prose, while providing the romantic, static metaphor in nuance to the dynamic action of his metaverse. The most recent subset in this collection is the result of his poetic stylistic studies focused on phonology, syntax and semantics, i.e., the structure in detail, and in particular, on semantics and symbols, on the use of specific expressive resources, especially in metaphor; in the characterization of the concrete and the abstract in events, classes and objects, and in sentiment, as well as the present (in praesentia) and the absent (in absentia); in exquisite free verse and rhyme, where perfect metrics not being a priority is very often achieved with great affluence. Similarly, the contrast of the subjective with the objective.
Earlier in his poetic career, his poems were the accumulation of quite intense memories expressed primarily in free verse and included in his books of the Alma Mater literary series.
Of course, the entire collection offers a nuance of personal experience virtualized in the metaverse realm, where love survives in the surreal and beyond the real, extending true characters into vibrant avatars, perhaps fallen angels, where his literary figures flow easily with its magic realism, its symbolism, and its message semantics, which mark the return of metaphor, hyperbole and metonymy, and similes between parallel realities that certainly visualize the beauty of any artwork and life, and the search for the truth through the enunciated missive. Nevertheless, parataxis is indeed the most widely used expressive resource throughout the author's collection up to date, a key determinant of his unique poetic and lyric style.
Ultimately, Restoration of Honour is the author's lifetime poetic collection in English so far, written in various locations around the world, in particular, in South America, Central America, North America, and Europe. The book was firstly intended to be dedicated to the author's English teachers, in particular, to Gilliam Moss of Universidad del Norte; Michael Gale of Boston School of English and its former Director, Mrs. Betty Tooms who first granted him the opportunity to teach English, and his high-school teacher Mayra Márquez of Institute Alexander von Humboldt, from whom her last name is now uncertain, and to former colleagues at the British International School who them motivated the author to pass the Trinity College of London English exam then required for teachers to teach mathematics or work there with a minimum B2 level. However, due to the historic moment, this book has been dedicated to the memory of beloved Queen Elizabeth II, whose outstanding character, personality, and life perspective greatly inspired the author throughout his entire poetic writing.
Finally, abatement of honour can occur to anyone, anytime, anywhere, whether the cause of the abatement is true or false is irrelevant; it happens in religious organizations, in military, and public safety units, in government and non-government (NGO's) professional organizations, and even within conventional communities, such as a neighbourhood, as it has happened to many of the characters presented in this poetic anthology and its metaverse. The restoration of honour is here, therefore -- beyond love --, the other leitmotiv.
