More DescriptionIt's January of 1864 and the armies of the North and South are in winter quarters. During the lull, Major Rufus Randall is sent north with four of his men to escort arms smuggler and Confederate spy Lilly Raintree to Canada. Their mission is to free a ship interned by the British in Halifax and bring its valuable cargo to Richmond. Chased by Pinkerton agents and Federal troops as they take the train to Port Huron, Michigan, they cross the St. Clair River to Sarnia, Upper Canada, where they are detained by the local constable and sent to Fort George in Halifax. There they are to be interned for the duration of the American conflict. Randall and Lilly must figure out a way to escape the fort, take the ship, and return to Virginia before the Army of the Potomac starts its Spring offensive that begins with the Battle of the Wilderness.
