English summary: Saxony was one of the most important regional centers of National Socialism during the so-called Third Reich. Recent research has turned its attention especially to the forces active in society during this era. This volume looks closely at the social practices of persons who worked in the middle to lower tiers of the official hierarchy at both the regional and local levels. It shows that there were many ways of supporting the Nazi regime and contributing to its success. German description: Sachsen gehorte zu den wichtigsten regionalen Zentren des Nationalsozialismus im Deutschen Reich. Neuere Forschungsansatze nehmen vor allem die gesellschaftlichen Akteure im Dritten Reich in den Fokus. Auf dieser Basis analysiert der Band den Anteil von sozialen Gruppen, Netzwerken und Individuen an der Durchsetzung und Etablierung der NS-Herrschaft in Sachsen. Insbesondere untersucht er die soziale Praxis von Akteuren, die auf der mittleren und unteren Ebene des Herrschaftssystems sowie im regionalen und lokalen Zusammenhang agierten.
