It is a challenge but possible - providing the artist can play harmonics for the higher sounding sax and can darken the tone for the lower sounding sax. The woman is mirrored by the higher sounding saxophone and the man by the lower. The quarrel increases in intensity leaving the listener to decide who wins the argument. It is a fun piece and is a special pleasure in listening, dancing and playing.It is interesting to note that THE ARGUMENT can be performed by one Alto Saxophonist.
