Phoenix: "And I am no longer angry with you. Even if I were, I believe anger is the deepest sadness. To be that sad, one must truly love the cause of their affliction, of their sadness. When we rage, it's not necessarily because we love the person or situation we're raging against, but that they represent something we loved & lost, that this person/situation can't replace, or perhaps stole from us or simply didn't sacrifice themselves. Or because we were the "thieves", "villains by necessity", "bad guys" we had no choice but to become to survive. We feel guilty for surviving when it meant someone else lost something of great value, especially their life so we could live. I am sad because I've known you love me for a very long time, that your actions, from the very beginning, reflect your feelings for me. I needed to hear you say, "I love you." Words wield power. Granted, actions speak louder than words, but sometimes we need to hear them spoken.
