More DescriptionEpisode 2 - The backstory - Shanghaiing is about the Bias Correction System. A technology used to raise the empathy level of others in the hope to create a better world. Seems great but there's one catch, some patients might not be totally willing to go through this process.The story is inspired by 2 things:On one side: Shanghaiing stories from the late 1800's where some bars from the US West Coast were the scene of kidnappings. Young men would be drugged and signed papers making them employees of boats. They would be dragged through tunnels from the bars to the piers.On the other side: Virtual Reality which has a lot of potential and is being studied as a way to alter people's mind. By making people experience others' point of view, they feel empathy and change their perspective.The main scene is a bar in San Francisco, where a man (Henry) comes for a drink and starts complaining about homelessness and people not working hard enough. The main characters (Dorothy and James) will take Henry through a series of embodiment sessions where he will feel different moments of someone else's life. At the end, something changed.
