As a creator, Jason Kimble has a common theme that runs consistently through his work, it's the art of
storytelling. This is not say the artist sets out each time to tell some grand tale or even offer a message
with the art he creates. No, he sets forth to make his viewers think for themselves. It doesn't have to be
deep or intellectual, or cast a subjective light on anything in particular, but it does have to be fun.
Jason has been a professional illustrator since 1990, beginning his career as an airbrush artist and
starting an apprenticeship in tattooing, a profession he remains doing to this day. The nature of both
endeavors, have aloud him to build on a variety of skill sets, from perspective to dynamic shading to
portraiture and anatomy. Jason continues to utilize these lessons while learning new innovations as
often as they are presented to him.
Jason is proficient in several mediums, including pencil, watercolor, acrylic, oil and digital. He is a
published comic book creator with a number of books released over his career, most recently he colored
the last Professional work of DC comics' legend Jim Mooney, known for putting Supergirl on the map in
the 1960's, the book is called Lakota, published my Markosia Media in the UK. Even more recent was
The Fatal Photos, a Graphic Novel released last September, Jason did all the work on this book, also
published by Markosia.
Though comics have been a great inspiration and love of the artist, it's the practice of oil painting that
really makes him happy. Jason has a myriad of subjects he chooses to render though his style is
recognizable throughout and it his sincere hope that you enjoy his collection and output, maybe even
finding one to take home for yourself.
Jason lives in Michigan with a son and daughter.
