Welcome to Hell. A father, exhausted, exasperated, and scared, tries to explain to his children, why their mother behaves the way she does. This story explores some of the behaviors, as well as the consequences and side-issues, associated with Narcissistic Personality Disorder (NPD). Being in a relationship with a narcissist at some point will require a lot of reading, research, and/or therapy to understand the twisted hell you found yourself in. I am no longer with my narcissist, but trauma lingers. Part of my therapy is telling my story. Each illustration in this book depicts or summarizes events that occurred in our household and how it fits into a particular behavior associated with narcissism (Page 11... yes, she actually did threaten to throw our dog over the railing). The story is my thoughts to my kids. The box with the skull icon at the bottom of each page is an excerpt from an article or post that better explains the behavior.
