More DescriptionThough Sarah was completely unaware of it, this episode in her life, the life encapsulated in Sarah's Saga, was unique in that she was never aware of the truth of the outcome for all within it. And her faithful and fascinated chronicler, me, well, I only coincidentally found out the nugget of the truth as a drunken scraped out hulk of a man, he went by Alan, bragged to me on one of my sojourns to one of the many beautiful Caribbean Isles. It was a chance bar meeting and it affected me through and through.I never did let on to Sarah.I wish to recount the tale for today, the events of this immediate time in her life. Her clan all gathered in the Pacific Northwest. This would include her family, friends, and vast network of associates, and admirers. Her father had taken on a client. It had brought a whirlwind of climactic events to her then. There was the Church of Mari, a bastion of fascinating history with an imminent sense of extinction about it.There was the last Elder of that church, a woman no less, who was pursued by an unholy secret sect with her very life at risk. There was her refusal to hide in the shadows, in spite. An ancient Pope was a lingering shadow for them all. He craved the demise of what he deemed the worst of heretics. It was a period in Sarah's so storied life where love abounded. But it was not about her love. It was about the love and the black stain that it carried for the two who sought to find a blind obedience to that emotion no matter the harm to others. And it led to the shape of sin and corruption ultimately. This is a luminous portion of Sarah's Saga. What it shines its light on might even be unholy, though. Be wary. Be engaged with the facts within. Find out. Figure it out. Be willing to find out and be able to figure it out. The first is easy. The latter is not. Solving the riddle cannot be done. The police didn't. Why should you?
