His fears and conflicts mirror those of other men today regardless of race or culture, who struggle to meet the challenges of the ambiguous roles society has assigned them. T.J.'s story, however, is burdened by the unique struggles of being a black man in America. Even life as a titan in the corporate universe, is no protection against a lawman's bullet aimed at his body. When tragedy strikes, he is forced to confront these fears and insecurities.
