The terrorist threat in Indonesia is high and will continue to be so in the next few years. The terrorist groups in Indonesia are well-funded and have a strong network. They are also skilled in using social media to spread their message and recruit new members. There have been a number of terrorist attacks in Indonesia in the past few years. There is a high risk of terrorist attacks happening in major cities in Indonesia, such as Jakarta, Bali, and Surabaya.Densus 88 has arrested 247 suspects in cases of criminal acts of terrorism throughout 2022. The majority of the suspects arrested are the terrorist group Jamaah Ismailah (JI). Then, the second group most arrested was the terrorist group Anshor Daulah (AD). Police have secured 247 suspects with the following details: 97 people from the JI group, 70 people from the Anshor Daulah group, 46 from the JAD group, 28 from the NII group, 4 from the MIT (Mujahidin Indonesia Timur, or East Indonesia Mujahidin) group, 1 lone wolf suspect and 1 foreign terrorist fighter suspect.
