This book is written for two types of readers: students in introductorycourses in wet processing textile colleges and in commuity colleges withtechnical textile programs; and for audiences which need a quick and briefintroduction to textile wet processing; i.e., new textile employees witha limited textile background or people working for chemical suppliers,machinery suppiers and other types of suppliers.

As the only available book suitable for introductory textile courses,this volume is brief, very readable, and designed to introduce conceptsin a clear-cut way. The text is generic in that it contains no trade namesand it does not promote specific products or processes. Finally, Perkinshas written the material so that readers with knowledge of inorganic andorganic chemistry can apply their knowledge.
