Author Biography
Harper, Glyn (Author)


Glyn Harper works at Massey University as a Professor of War Studies. He isa former teacher who joined the Australian Army in 1988, and later transferred to the New Zealand Army when he became a lieutenant colonel. He is the author of several books on military history, including a biography on Kippenberger, The Massacre at Passchendaele. In 2010 he received a Fulbright New Zealand Scholar Award to research the Battle of Monte Cassino at Virginia Military Institute. Harper has also written a number of children's books including Le Quesnoy, Jim's Letter's, and Roly the Anzac Donkey. He won the New Zealand Children's Book Awards 2015 in the Picture Book category with his title Jim's Letters.
