This book is dedicated the musicians that dedicate their musical art to the Latin Jazz, not caring their origin, and the recordings that have carried out in that genre, as leaders or companions (sidemen). The participation of the musicians of the genre in productions of other jazz styles in that they have been invited and that it has been good to highlight their importance like executioner of their instrument and the acquired continuous experience through all those musical encounters as companions of others.
It is a book that fits in the branch of musical investigation-musical literature (educational, cultural, informative, amusing and commercial). That for their deep investigation it has required many years to get the wanted result. And the reason is that it is about the most complete compilation and review that has been carried out on recordings of Latin Jazz, from the explosion like musical gender with own life (1948) until the year 2021, included this. It is not about the repeated history of Afro Cuban Jazz, it is about the work carried out by composers, arrangers and musicians, and also the labels, linked in acetate (vinyl), cassette or CDs. In the book it is also included some artists and their works in World Music and African Music with a lot of approach to the Latin Jazz.
