More DescriptionThis beautifully illustrated, black and white book of 295 activities, is full of age-appropriate language learning activities that introduce young learners to the 38 letters of the Aypoupen (Armenian alphabet). This unique workbook for teaching the Armenian language is based on pedagogical methodologies used throughout the world for teaching young children. Information is presented in bite-size pieces. Each letter is introduced over and over again, in different ways, over the course of many pages. The activities promote letter recognition, expand vocabulary, and help develop hand coordination. Each page is designed to be fun and engaging for the child who is just beginning to learn Armenian letters.Created for ages four and up, this spiral bound book, which lays completely flat when opened, is for children who are in a pre-writing stage of development. Activities include the following: coloring, naming body parts, counting, mazes, connect-the-dots, color-by-letter, songs and verses, more than 240 Armenian words, and more. These very inviting, user-friendly pages are equally suited to use in the classroom or in the home. All activity pages have been written exclusively in Armenian in order to create a visually immersive Armenian language experience for the young learner. The creators believe that this book can be used by native Armenian speakers as well as those learning Armenian as a foreign language. Only the introductory page of each chapter is written in both Armenian and English as a help to the English-speaker. The book also contains a short Teaching Guide, an Armenian/English Glossary & Pronunciation Guide, and an Index of Words (separate indices are provided in Armenian and in English). The creator's of this book believe that all young children can learn Armenian letters and words from using this workbook. Videos, song lyrics, and other resources can be found on the ArmenianEasy.com website, including resources for the non-Armenian speaking parent.
