The future is a gilded cage, those few who are free are known as Skinwalkers.
Humanity is imprisoned by massive corporations, each a platform for a twisted ideology. A nightmarish system of social credit hangs over everyone's heads. People are forced to conform, forced into tiny islands in the vast digital sea. Nearly all meaningful work has disappeared. Much of mankind has retreated into the decadent pleasures of virtual reality. Cybernetic and biological modifications to the mind and body have blurred the lines separating those that are human from those that have chosen to become something else.
John is a Skinwalker. He goes where he wants and does what he wants, moving from one augmented reality to the next, always looking for the next score. The price of freedom is the occasional shady task, performed at the behest of a government contact.
Now the Skinwalker must find a missing woman. She is sought by corporate bounty hunters and fanatics. These enemies have taken full advantage of technology, transferring their deranged minds into strange and dangerous bodies.
John will have to rely on his wits. He will call upon his knowledge of the miracles and sins that technology has given mankind. And most importantly, he will need a quick trigger finger. It will take everything he's got to survive the savagery of The Electric Archipelago.
